The neighborhood is bordered by Windermere to the south, Lake Buena Vista to the north, is located on either side of Apopka-Vineland Road in Orange County's southwest region, and is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical area. It is close to all the theme parks and attractions in Orlando situated just Northeast of Disney World, Southwest of Universal Studios and Northwest of Sea World.

The Bay Hill area was originally developed by Arnold Palmer's development company and the Bay Hill Golf and Country club still hosts a PGA event there each year. Set against the East side of Lake Tibet, Chase and Blanche in the very desirable Butler Chain of Lakes, Bay Hill offers a variety of homes, townhomes and condominiums in a variety of styles and sizes. Convenient to both downtown Orlando and the attractions area, Restaurant Row on Sand Lake Road is just outside the neighborhoods of Bay Hill. It's located in Orange County with a population of almost 5,000 as of 2010.
